These skateboards were made by Tom Christopher as prototypes for a campaign to produce skateboards under the Ikepod name. With the success of the watch brands bearing his artwork on the watch face, these designs would extend the brand to a younger audience.

This was an advertisement for China Seas. Commissioned by Inger McCabe Elliot. She founded the company and wrote books on Batik fabrics. She married Oz Elliot, editor at Newsweek. She was fluent in many languages and was a photo-journalist photographing Vietnam. I still get calls requesting the original of this painting.
