For more than half a century, since opening its doors in Ginza in 1969, Galerie Taménaga has stood as a bridge between artists, collectors, and museums, nurturing creativity and celebrating beauty across generations. Ginza, once the beating heart of Japan’s cultural life, has changed profoundly with time.
After 56 years, Galerie Taménaga turns the page to a new chapter, relocating its Tokyo headquarters to Minami-Aoyama. On Kotto-dori, a street where tradition and modernity intertwine, we aspire to create a sanctuary where art continues to inspire wonder, reflection, and joy.
This move is a step toward the future while carrying forward the legacy of the past. We invite you to join us in this exciting beginning, as Galerie Taménaga opens its doors to a new era of encounters between art and life.
To commemorate the Grand Opening in Aoyama, we are pleased to present an exhibition bringing together 20 artists currently active at our gallery, each showcasing a new work specially created for this occasion.
